A good friend, a fellow Young Adult volunteer in Egypt who now lives in the Twin cities, had news that her best friend was murdered Thursday night in Minneapolis. She was an amazing young woman I only had the privilege of meeting twice in Cairo, and she appears to have been murdered by someone who put up a false Craigslist advertisement for a babysitter/nanny. Shocking is not even the right word.
