Sunday Afternoon Music Video: Come to the Water/Jordan
The homilist at my church this morning was freshly back from a trip to India to work with the Dalit — the "untouchables." The call was to see our own baptism at work in the world, as Jesus' was, in the everyday ways we deal with those we meet.
This song's mix of gentleness and disruption felt like similar nudge to be about what I am called to do.

We had, as a request from a member, "I Am the Light of the World (You People Come and Follow Me," and it fit marvelously. "When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the kings and the shepherds have found their way home, the work of Christmas is begun."
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful challenge to close the Christmas season out with, Suzy!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
