RevGal Friday Five: As my mother used to say...

This morning I had a moment in which I found myself wanting to reply to my teenager the way my father used to reply to me. Most of us have some classic family phrases or retorts or truisms handed down from parents to children.

Name five things you used to hear your mother or father (or even a grandparent) say, especially things you might be surprised to hear coming out of your own mouth.

Let us know in the comments if you play!

  4. I've been reading through the stuff thats posted and I am struck by the number of happy memories that have been shared. What we say to our children is so important, I hope and pray that I have left my children with a legacy of happy memories for I am still recovering from difficult ones...thank you songbird for reminding of that and thak you everyone for sharing!
