A-M Eventual Round-up

Greetings blog fans. Big denominational committee meeting for me today so the round-up will come in bits and pieces. Please use the comments to share what is going on in your world - don't be shy - and if you are looking for a break from Holy Week prep by all means give those folks in the comments a look.

Until I return, here is a question to discuss amongst yourselves: How come whenever my 14 month old actually sleeps in a little bit the phone rings early in the morning. No really... every. time.

-----------------------------------------
And now - finally - we round up:

micah girl blogs on being radiant and contentment.

Susan Rose has been posting some great pics and updates from her trip.

Church is a verb!

My farcical existence asks for religious letter writing advice and includes a list for all you Texas hill country fans. And no, that is not about a band named "Texas Hill".

As a community we continue to rally around our favorite Lutheran Chick. Peace, friend.

Check out James' quote of the day and his review of The Davinci Code... hint: don't run out and buy it.

Loud, Brash and Dramatic posts on courage.

Jo(e) has got a classroom full of activists and her own reasons for being in favor of teaching our daughters to be women, NOT princesses. By the way, Jo(e), have you seen this video on Gavin's website?

Sue gave birth... okay, it was 22 years ago. She has also been extroverting her introverted self lately.

Sophia at I will Sing is in transition and offers up a penitent prayer.

Hoosier Musings is not involved in full disclosure, but she does share a prayer for the Psalms.

Gavin explains why he is not a 'capitalist'.

Hipchickmama is procrastinating.

Okay, okay. I have to give credit where credit is due. Last week I teased heavy revvies for having music automatically play when you go to the site. But now the music playing is 'Crazy' and it goes with the post titled: Nervous Twitch.

Apparantly Holy Week is coming and Hazlenut Reflections is ready... sorta.

Grace upon Grace has ordination pics and a beautiful post about cups and plates.

Kathryn had a great day off which is good since it was followed by a blechy meeting.

It sounds like Girl might have a father to rival my own.

Gallycat is feeling overwhelmed.

Leslee has got some questions.

Check out Gord's global rich list.

Cats is hanging in there for the Lenten payoff.

Hey Jules had a must read revelation.

Eternal Echoes posts on the bad, the good and the ugly... and back to the good!

Erin questions and grieves the loss of her prized possessions.

Tripp's doing family things.

Clever Title Here has quite a list of happenings.

Church Lady posts about friends.

Cheesehead promises she will post on the 11th.

The Cake Incident.

Did I miss the memo? Why are we not on the island with Cathy?

Brother Terry goes to the city and then goes to Palm Sunday.

Canticles returned to seminary.

JWD is done with those comps.

  2. To answer Will Smama's question:
for the same reason why when someone you really want to talk with calls, same 14 month old has blown out a diaper/flushed cat down the toilet/eaten delicious buttons.

  4. I am of the firm opinion that toddlers who sleep in are solely a literary consturction devised to give parents false hope.

On the bright side, our phone almost never rings early in the morning -- but on Saturday I am being picked up for a meeting at the insanely early hour of 7:30! I am usually up then butno where near ready to go out in public.

  5. Sleeping toddlers send subliminal messages into the atmosphere causing unsuspecting folk to need to call the parents, just to make sure the said parents don't get too used to peace and quiet...for it will be disturbed!

As for Holy week, how is this for sneaky...I am on holiday, we are going to Spring Harvest, a huge Christian festival here in the UK from Maunday Thursdat right across the weekend to Tuesday!!! I do not have to preach or think about liturgy or hymns cos someone else will be doing all that for me! Yay...

    Sorry to gloat folks...

Seriously though this is the first break we've had since Chris's surgery last summer and boy do we need it!
