In the 9/5/2006 issue of Christian Century, our webring is mentioned in a wonderful piece by Susan Olson about finding authentic community in the blogosphere. Blogging is a new topic for the magazine; if you like the article, let the magazine know!
If you got here via the web address in Christian Century, welcome! Look in the sidebar for links to information about joining the webring and/or RevGalBlogPals, Inc. There is also a blogroll listing all the blogs in the webring, a link to our CafePress store, where you may find the mug mentioned in the magazine, and a link to our recent book. Just below this post is one of our weekly features, Meet the RevGals. May you find community here, too!

It was a terrific article, and yes, I got here because of it. I'm a total newbie at the blogging thing, and will admit to having a certain amount of difficulty getting my blog set up. I do have young adult children, however, who are full of grace concerning my technochallenges. Hopefully, will have a blog up and running sometime before I die. Blessings for the day.
ReplyDeleteWelcome pastornines. Just think after awhile you'll know all kind of techie stuff. And there are those of the revgalblogpals who are very helpful in this matter.
ReplyDeleteGlad you came and joined us.
I read the article and it was great!
It's true - a whole new world awaits. It takes time though doesn't it? thanks for the welcome.
ReplyDeleteI also got here through the Christian Century article - and just in time for 11th hour Preacher Party! Alleluia.

That was really wonderful, to pick up my CC and find this article. Welcome to everyone who found us that way - and congrats to Susan Olson!
ReplyDeleteGreat article Susan Olsen! You captured all the right things and helped "the cause" -- actually several of them.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you (and thanks Songbird for the link. My CC is late.)
:) I've loved how this community has grown and developed. It has been such a blessing to me! God is so good!
ReplyDeleteMine arrived today!
ReplyDeleteThe article is great -- Thanks to Christian Century for posting it on line, as my print copy has yet to arrive.... Hello, Distribution Center?
ReplyDeleteYes, the article was GREAT!! And so is this group!
ReplyDeleteI have tried to welcome Rev. Maria - but got no further than her profile page. But wanted to welcome her here!
Congratulations to Susan on the publication of that wonderful article. What a warm reflection of what so many of us have found here. And welcome aboard to those who find us through her gift!
ReplyDeleteRev Maria, the people are clamoring for you to create a blog!
ReplyDeleteI see that. I'm going to need some help. When I got to the set up page my mind went blank - what to call a blog? where to focus a blog? Hmmm - perhaps I'll try to figure out what to do after Bible Study tonight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous article, congrats Susan.
ReplyDeleteThe article voiced my sentiments exactly. It often amazes me that I feel more supported by people 1000's km's away, than by people close by.
You have and continue to be a great source of wisdom, fun, and love.
Welcome to the newbies, before long you won't even remember a time BB (before blogging)
Blessings

How did I MISS that tshirt? Or the mug??? Oh my... I have a great pastor mentor and I think she MUST have a mug.
ReplyDeleteStill chuckling-
Deb

ReplyDeletewoohoo! what a wonderful article - I used the revgals as a sermon example earlier in the summer - I wish I would have had your wonderful words then.
