Friday Five: Countdown Edition

Last night my TV Boyfriend Keith Olbermann made some comments I really appreciated, and it got me thinking about what makes one person admire another. In the spirit of Keith's show on MSNBC, welcome to the Friday Five Countdown Edition.

Please count down five living people you admire and tell us a little something about why they make your list. These could be famous people or people you know personally.

5...4...3...2...1

As always, if you can link directly to your post, you're likely to get more visitors!

  8. This one was tough--I had way too many names, and then how do you summarize what someone means to you?

    But I played anyway--here.

If Blogger is nice to me, unlike the last three days...

  17. No worries, stresspenguin! I was simply hoping focusing on the living would keep us from reciting a list of long ago heroes and get us to think about who can really be admired today. But one of the rules of the Friday Five is it's okay to make adaptations!

  18. Hey, initially I didn't catch the "living" part, either, and admittedly it would've been a close to impossible task if I had, so most likely I wouldn't have played. There are somewhat supportive people I admire in my current and recently past lives, but for the most part it has been all too lonely lately.
