ready or not ...

it's Christmas Eve ... and today or tomorrow - come what may - we'll celebrate the miracle of the incarnation - Immanuel, God with us.

In place of the Wednesday Festival today, take a moment to rest in His presence and hear these words spoken to you

My busy Child,

In the midst of the Christmas rush

come to me when you are frazzled and worn out.
...
I'll give you rest.

Learn from Me
and you won't be overburdened.

I'll show you how to find balance.

Take time
to be STILL
and KNOW that I am your God.

Set your affections on what really matters,
not on the trivial pursuits of life that try to distract you from Me.

Refresh yourself and refocus
for I am your GOD of PURPOSE
and
I love YOU
with a never-ending love

And if you have time or inclination, feel free to offer up a prayer for all RevGals and pals (and their families) who are so busy over this Christmas period and the comment box is open for you to post a prayer or blessing today, should you wish to do so.

May God bless us all with a beautiful Christmas, full of His light and a reminder of His faithful to keep His promises.

P.S. Wednesday Festival will return again in the New year.

  5. Merry Christmas Each and All...

    Christmas 2008

    Hodie!

    Unfold the seasonal petals
    of your snow-dusted bursting bloom!

    Reveal to the clamoring
    hungering world
    my warmly fleshly
    glory-bright birth!

    Then ah—listen!
    Soon follows
    the clear benediction
    of a cold bell chiming.

    Hodie! Venite adoremus,
    Christus natus est!
