Sunday Prayer

Gracious God,
God of light,
God of life,
God of all that is

You come to us
in the darkness
of the night
and call us by name

Give us, we pray
the grace
to hear you -
the hope
to see you -
the love
needed
to mend
a broken world.

Help us
to be your
hands -
your
heart
your hope.

Be with us, we pray
with those
who suffer,
with those
who weep,
with those
dying
this night/day
and give us, we pray
your peace.

Amen.

  2. Me too. It is 5 a.m. Heading over to the nursing home because my mother will likely go in an hour or so...unpredicable as all know...but...today. Thank you for the prayer.

  5. We baptized dear little Kristen Grace. Such sweetheart. 11 days old. Her daddy leaves on the 5th for Iraq. He seems to be trying to drink in all he can of his daughter. Pray for them all.

I thought of you today when I shared about finding hope in the heart of hopeless situations today...

And to those of you who prayed me through... thanks. (seems inadequate!)

It went extremely well, the comment that knocked my socks off was from someone on the preaching staff who told me that I "knocked it out of the park." Well, God did.
But you know what I mean...

    Thanks...
