Sunday Afternoon Video: Psalm 23
True confession time: I didn't make it to church today; I was with family. I don't want to include a patriotic song here. And I can't find anything that I more need to hear than this, today. This is the anthem, the prayer, to the true home of all our hearts.
What did YOU sing in worship this morning? Let us know in the comments...

Organist played a whole patriotic theme (I just started a few weeks ago...and organist and I are not close yet). I just am too Pietist in my upbringing to mix patriotism with the followings of Jesus.
ReplyDeleteI chose for us to sing the finlandia song (different versions in different hymnals).
Thank you for posting this most beautiful video. I've always loved this song. Sung at a wedding of dear friends...
We went to the National Cathedral for a nice change of pace. I have to say that I didn't know any of the hymns except for America the Beautiful and Lift Every Voice and Sing.
ReplyDeleteI've begged our choir director to do "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing." It's in our hymnal, after all. But he insists no one will know it.
ReplyDeleteWell, right. That's how they will LEARN it.
Sigh.
