Since posting about decluttering, I am still muttering about the need for it in my house. How about you?
1. What things do you like to hang on to?
2. What is hard to let go of?
3. What is easy to give away?
4. Is there any kind of stumbling block connected with cleaning out?
5. What do you like to collect, hoard, or admire?
Bonus: Tell us about recycling or whatever you can think of that goes along with this muttering about cluttering.
Remember to leave a link to your blog in the comments section. I'm the one who can't figure out how to show the proper linkage, so go here to find out how!
I’m thinking about my junk here
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan. I cluttered up my blog page with this Friday Five over here.
ReplyDeleteHere are my flighty thoughts about stuff cluttering. I took some unexpected turns.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed reading the Zen de-cluttering ideas Jan. I'll have to put some of them in practice soon. Thank goodness my hubs keeps me going through the clothes. We'd be buried by now if not.
My thoughts on clutter are here. If only it was as easy as talking about it! :-)
ReplyDeleteI tried not to waste my words here.

ReplyDeleteI'm decluttering here
ReplyDeleteNot blogging about this, but I think it was here that someone offered an idea several months ago that has been transformative for me: rather than approaching my stuff with the question, "Might I need this in the future?" (to which the answer is almost always a possible yes) to "If I gave this away and then needed it later, could I find a solution?" (to which the answer is almost always yes, also).
ReplyDeleteThis shift has freed me up to get pass along so much of my stuff! I still have clutter all around, but the amount is lessening. So to the person who suggested this idea, thank you many times over :-)
In this reflection, I was reminded that clutter and valued collections are often about more than stuff.

ReplyDeleteI'm back after a long break from blogging to add my two cents about clutterhere
