Prayers Requested

Kirstin, who blogs at Barefoot and Laughing, has been a member of RevGalBlogPals for many years. At one time she helped with the Wednesday Festival. For some time Kirstin has been fighting malignant melanoma, and in the past week she received some difficult news.

Kirstin writes, in her most recent post, "Who Am I?"--

This is one thing I'm afraid of:  not being able to be myself.  Feeling sad and grieving and frustrated because I can't access the person I've always been, or the person I've worked hard to be.  Missing what I had, and won't have the ability to have again.  Not having the energy, memory, or resources to respond to the world the way I do now.

Put it in print, so I'll remember.  Tell me stories.  Tell me why you come here.  Tell me what connects you to me.  Tell me what you want me to take with me.  Tell me who I am, to you.

Please keep Kirstin in your prayers, and if you are a "lurker" at her blog, come out and let her know you are thinking of her.

  1. As a long-time lurker (and sometime commenter)at Kristin's place, I have loved her and her writing since I first knew her via RevGals several years ago.

She is one of the many, many people I have met through this ring (and through social media generally) who enrich and illuminate my life. I have never met her face to face. I may not, in this world. But I love and respect her.

I encourage you to take some time and go back, read older as well as newer posts. You will find treasure. You will love her too.

    God, be with Kristin.
