Friday Five: Delinquent Edition

The background of the situation is that a few years ago, Songbird reminded me that I had the Friday Five. I told her - quite adamantly - that I was one she would never have to worry about. I keep close track of such things.

As we were driving from having a beautiful breakfast with my sister, brother-in-law, nephew and brand new niece this morning you can imagine my dismay as Songbird said, "I hope whoever had the Friday Five today remembered to do it."

So for today, if you are still there, the Friday Five is this:
It's a busy season and our minds get caught up in lots of different things (a shiny new baby, in my case). We all know that especially during this time of year we have to be intentional about the things that are important or we can lose them. What are five things you try to be intentional about, whether it be for this season specifically or in general?

As always, please let us know in the comments if you played and Songbird will make sure I come and visit your answers. ;)

Thanks for playing and Happy Advent!

  1. Shiny new babies will do that ... :-)
    No blog...
I am trying to be intentional about healthy habits...not doing so well

  2. Thanks kzj...sometimes the best "things" come at the spur of the moment.

    My Intentions Here

  3. I haven't been able to play recently, but today I gave some thought to intention here

  4. Oh, I might give this some thought. I got waylaid on my way over here by discovering the costs of my surgery, and so I posted about that en route.

  5. Advent intentions (hopeful intentions!):
    1. walking - getting out, taking exercise as well as allowing for 'accidental' meetings
    2. knitting - for focus instead of distractedness
    3. using one of Jan Richardson's books for advent.
4.time for self and family (v bad at this)
    5. write Christmas cards in better time this year, so that I can think a little about the people I'm sending to (!)

  6. This was a great Advent Friday Five....gave me a chance to reflect on how I'm doing over here

  7. Grrr....I still don't seem to have this figured out..let's try again. My posting should be where

  8. So I was within moments of finishing this afternoon when my computer's battery died, signaling that it was time to go home and bake the lasagna for the friends who were coming for dinner. Being intentional about spending time with friends is a good Advent discipline, eh? Here are a few more ways I'm being intentional. Or trying. Or something.
