It's a funny day in my neck of the woods...a holiday for federal, state, and city offices, but schools are open, including the one where I work.
The U.S.'s famous Rose Parade happened this morning (on a Monday!) Kiddos in school missed it.
As it's the beginning of a shiny new year I'm thinking about new things.
What's new in your life?
I'm on sabbatical leave, and sat down this morning to begin the first of several writing projects that will be part of it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband feels more normal each day. That's an awesome new thing for me!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I've decided (among some other new things) to read the Bible... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am not 100% sure yet--and am approaching this with caution--but I think I am going to to a specific new thing that is hard for me, in solidarity with my sister who is far away and about to begin 6 mos of chemo, a non-voluntary hard thing.
ReplyDeleteprayers for your endeavour, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteso why wasn't the Rose Parade on January 1 this year???
ReplyDeletea sure sign of the end times, I say!
ReplyDeleteI think this is the year I'm going grey. But I'll get back to you on that.
ReplyDeleteRose Parade is never held on a Sunday. If the 1st is a Sunday, then the parade is a Monday. Fun for me, as it let me go to both a NYE party and a pre-parade float viewing party!
