RevGals summer of fun continues...

...with a whole new section of our carnival being built today! So far we've wandered through the exhibit halls of Galship, the food court of surprising connections, the rides of birthday wishes....today we're heading for the midway! It's time for some games--except none of these games are rigged, and the prizes are so much better than hard stuffed animals!

One of the ways we build community is through the Friday Five--an opportunity for silly or serious reflection on whatever is the topic of the week. Then we get to visit each other's blogs and enjoy the similarities, differences, surprises, and reminders that this peek into one another's minds gives us. It's a bit of fun at the end of the week.

So for this week's carnival: if you could create any Friday Five, what would your five questions be? Don't forget to play your own Five in your post!

If you don't blog, don't worry! You can email us your play at wednesdayfestival at gmail. (you can email your links there too, if you play on your blog!) You can play on Facebook. You can play in the comments.

The beauty of the midway is that there's something for everybody--and this carnival midway is free, so everybody jump right in! Toss some rings, squirt some water guns, pop some balloons, and have a great time!

  1. Here are my first five for Friday Five:
    1. Five favorite saints (from July 19-July 31 there are some great choices) including:
    Macrina (July 19)
    Stanton, Bloomer, Truth, Tubman
    (July 20)
    Mary Magdalene (July 22)
Mary and Martha of Bethany(July 29)
    William Wilberforce(July 30)
    Ignatius of Loyola (July 31)

    2. Perhaps a focus on friends--what makes a good friend, kinds of friendships, friends with God, great friendships in history, friends in the Bible

    3. It's the dog days of summer--maybe something about dogs--funny dog stories, dog movies, best dog friend, things dogs have eaten, training or being trained by dogs.

    4. Am I the only one in desperate need of new recipes for summer? Even I am getting tired of my old standby beef salad and take-home chicken salad.

    5. Re-entry after vacation--wisdom, experiences, awkward moments....

  2. I love it when the Friday Five is posted late on Thursday night. Gives me time to play before I head off to work. Thanks to all the early posters!

  3. I think it is always a good play to see what people are reading especially during the summer when folks might really have time to read. Books for fun, professional book and books that make you go hmmmm?

I would love to know what websites people people follow that might give them the spark to see God working in different ways. We all have blogs (at least most of us) but there are those particular sites that make us think or primes our pumps
