Friday Five: Quiet and Simple Edition
Our Friday Five is very simple today. Share five ways you've learned to care for yourself when life becomes overwhelming. What does the pastor do after a rough day in the office, or at meetings, or at a bedside, or even, in the pulpit? Share your best five self-care strategies, and, with any luck, we all will learn at least one or two new ones.
Let us know in the comments if you played. Here's how to share your link:

A blessed, peaceful, restorative Friday to you all.

LOVED your play Tiff! Especially the blank time in the calendar. You're teaching this ENFP a thing or two!

ReplyDeleteLOVED your play Alli! As a swimmer, I am so moved by the idea of bowing to the water... Yes. Yes. Yes. And #1 and 2... thanks for putting it out there. I do it. And it helps.

ReplyDeleteLOVED your description of "slutty" reading! (That should get you some hits... lol). I also read for pleasure, but not nearly as fast as you, unless it absolutely pulls me in and makes me ignore everything else. Wonderful Play! Thanks Mary Beth.
DeleteI played simply.
ReplyDeleteYes, o Yes... LOVED your inclusion of tears. WOW. Thanks for playing!
DeleteMuthuh, I do believe you are the first to mention prayer! And driving in the country... when I first moved to Binghamton in 1990, I spent a lot of time driving around, finding my way, but also trying to center myself, feeling so dislocated and lonely. It was wonderfully consoling. LOVED your play. Thank you!
