Wednesday Wander Around the Webring

Kudos to Reverend Mommy for the fabulous job she has done with the Advent Devotion project. It was her idea and her organizational efforts that have made it all possible. Thanks also to Mary Beth and anyone else who is helping her edit and complete it for publication. What a privilege it is to be part of this community effort!

Welcome to SisterBloggers, a new webring for Catholic women. It's the inspiration of Susan Rose of Musings of a Discerning Woman. There are already 5 blogs on the ring and its homepage is a member of RevGalBlogPals. Another howdy goes out to new webring member Leslee at Fresh Cut Flowers. Stop by and welcome her as well.

Sister Mary Alternative has the most recent reflection on the annual blessing of the pets at her Episcopal Church. This isn't a Presbyterian event, so I'm not familiar with it. But it sounds like fun. The festival of Thecla is also new to me, but not to Beth.

Gord blogs about Thanksgiving. Is it Thanksgiving in Canada now? I know they celebrate it, but at a different time than the USA. Sacramentality describes her concern for the vulnerable elderly was raised by events reported during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

What happens when your daughter wants to play "let's find the (tv) shows that you hate, Mom" with you? Jo(e) reports in "Bring back the Rock Crushing Machine", you decide. Also Peripatetic Polar Bear seeks a little help from her friends as she goes mattress shopping.

Summer lingers too long in Texas. The weathermen PROMISE a break in the heat by Friday. We're all longing for a taste of fall weather--even if it's 85 degrees. Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.
