The Day After Christmas

And all around the ring, few creatures are stirring...
I myself am a little overwhelmed with the magnitude of Christmas this year, so with thanksgiving for the wonderful folks who took time to do such thorough roundups over the weekend, here's a meme! I've got several blogs written in my mind, but trying to distill them into anything coherent seems beyond me for the moment.

1. What is the best gift you received this year? (Tangible gifts only, please!)

2. What is the best gift you gave this year?

3. When did you do most of your shopping/creating?

4. Did you go shopping the day after Thanksgiving (U.S.)? Today?

5. What stands out already about Christmas 2005?

Merry Christmas, dear Bloggers, Merry Christmas.

My kid's requests for Santa- A skate board and a train set. (The latter was almost impossible to find... but it was the ONLY thing on my 5 year old's list. My brother, bless his heart, found one and had it shipped overnight from New Jersey. They are playing with it even as I type this...

Sitting in the beautiful, candlelit church on Christmas Eve and being so grateful for the incarnation. God, your presence in the world has made everything in it Holy.
