Songbird had a lot of players for this week's Friday Five--check out the comments and you'll find the wisdom of generations in many posts. And a lot of amusement, too!
You'll rejoice to read that Lutheran Chik's mother is improving and that LC is hosting Lutheran Blog Carnival I over at her place.
Blogging the News: Songbird sees an analogy between Jill Carroll (the Christian Science Monitor reporter who was kidnapped in Iraq and recently released) and the prophet Jeremiah. Kinesis celebrates the election of the first female archbishop in the Anglican communion.
On a personal note: Joe anticipates his daughter's first day of soccer. Carol's Thursday night service meant to minister to college students has developed into an outreach for those on the street. Over at Musings, Julie J is looking forward to her first official day of work. May it be blessed! Natty blogs about why she remains a frustrated Catholic--but a Catholic nonetheless.
Rev Em's been getting comments on her post about women in ministry and concludes that women ARE different in ministry--in a good way. Meanwhile Caroline knows some Ninjas for the Kingdom, do you? The deadly sin of SLOTH is on Amy's mind and blog today.
Totally Random But Fun Department: Ruth Re found a Hip Hop Prayerbook (hey--I'm just the messenger, here, folks!). And were you punk'd by Philosophy Over Coffee? There's fun with the time change over at St. Cassarole's while Mary Beth's prince is sweeping her off her feet...at the Garden Center.
Finally, check out the picture Perapatetic Polar Bear posted today. Mystery Bloggers or Macintosh advertisement? You make the call!
On my own personal note--we had a wonderful, memorable but exhausting weekend celebrating my father-in-law's 90th birthday with many relatives and friends. We're so glad it went well...but now it's time for a nap.
If I overlooked you, please excuse the oversight, comment and fill us in.
