Sunday Prayer

Holy One, Creator and Author of life, bless us as we worship this day. Thank you for the power and potential of the day before us, and guide our steps as we navigate our way through it.

On this Trinity Sunday, we are so bold as to explore the nature of your Being. Of course, our images cannot contain you, but they can help us to know you in different ways. Forgive us the limits of our imagination and open our hearts and minds to your mysterious presence in our midst.

Let the wind of the Spirit stir up holy chaos in those human spirits that need some freshness and renewed faith. Where there is hurt, may the Spirit bring comfort. Where there is war, may she bring true peace. Where there is complacency, may the Spirit's mighty fire ignite a call to justice. Help us to recognize where the wind of the Spirit is blowing into our own lives, that we might better love and serve you, in Jesus' name. Amen.
