hot hot hot friday five

Many areas of the United States are having a heat wave. Global warming, anyone? Look on the bright side of melting glaciers and enviro-destruction by taking a crack at the Friday Five:

1. What's the high temperature today where you are?

2. Favorite way(s) to beat the heat.

3. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity." Evaluate this statement.

4. Discuss one or more of the following: sauna, hot tub, sweat lodge, warm-stone massage.

5. Hottest you've ever been in your life

Non-temperature related bonus: In your opinion... who's hot?

    St. Cass is cool enough to get a permanent exemption.

    Also, her name and her blog name are the same and thus able to be found on the blogroll--it's the people whose username is Edith and blogname is Super-Cool Blog that get me all confused.

    (OK, I'm really not this anal in real life...)

    Bonus for ten... what's the correct pronuciation of sauna? And everyone know's its Finnish right?

    No time to play :( but it's been a wonderfully hot summer. Tuesday was really hot - almost 30 C and that's the end of July.

    No a/c in homes here, or cinemas (went to see DaVinci Code tonight) but it was lovely and cool inside anyway

    Film finished at 11pm and it was still reasonably light when we came out - but the nights are beginning to draw in :(

    there is enough energy in the battery
    it just. won't. start.

    I walked home! No idea how others will buy their petrol.
