Sunday Prayer

Loving and Most Holy God, we know that you hear our prayers and for this we give you thanks and praise. We thank you for the special blessings we find at this time of the year, when your creation is alive with the colour and wonder of our natural world. We thank you for the warm breezes that brush gently over our faces and for long summer evenings that invite us to relax and nurture our souls.

We thank you God for your constant and loving presence with us. In times of ease and quiet, when we can breathe deeply of your Spirit and feel you close to us, you bring peace and rest.

In times of heartbreaking suffering, when we need to search you out through the cloud of tears that fogs our vision, you are there. God, be with all who are in need of your grace and healing. Wrap them in your warm embrace and whisper assurances on their hearts.

We pray, bring comfort and strength and healing where it is needed, and bring peace to your people everywhere, for we ask it in the name of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. Amen.
