Friday Five: American Idols

Yes, it's true. I've been watching Season Six of American Idol with my daughter, our first time dipping into this particular well of pop culture. In the spirit of believing you can do anything, as the auditioners so clearly do, please fill in the following five blanks.

1) If I could sing like anyone, it would be ________.

2) I would love to sing the song _________________.

3) It would be really cool to sing at ____________.

4) If I could sing a dream duet it would be with ___________.

5) If I could sing on a TV or radio show, it would be __________________.

Let us know in the comments if you play. And if you're feeling up to it, post a direct link to your blog entry in your comment using the following formulation:
what you want the link to say goes here

Nice to have something light for a break, as I am in the middle of more "telling" posts, which is really challenging but I hope worth it.

  8. Just be glad you were not in the car with me! Singing in the Shower

  9. I'm with you Iris! Third time is the charm.

  10. I did it! I'm listening to and singing one of my my favorite songs over here as I type: "I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light."

Here's what I had to say about the Five.

  11. Here's mine. Now I need to go find an Aretha Franklin album.

  12. They're changing me over to the new blogger, so it may not be ready just yet. No choice anymore.

    But, I did play here

These made me think way back to when I was younger. A song I forgot was "Imagine".

  13. I've done it,- for the first time this year. And everyone else has managed to do the link, but I'm just too stupid, and my geek is packing for his History trip.
    Sorry peoples.

  14. I played too... and of course there is a a little Bette!

  15. Though it would never fly on American Idol, I've been loving my folk music kick as I played

  16. Kathryn invited me to play, so my entry is here.

  17. So many great plays- I'm enjoying this- thanks songbird!

  18. As usual, I am posting late in the day and looks like there are tons of postings. My responses are all over the place

  19. I just had to try feel free to take a look over here

  20. I played at closer to my after midnight normal time

  21. I'll play here because if my parish readers were to KNOW this stuff I would get hauled off to choir and chained to the chancel!

    1) Denyce Graves
    2) John Michael Talbot's "The Bread of Life" sung by him and Sheila Walsh
    3) The NatCath [National Cathedral], Lincoln Center or the north rim of Crater Lake National Park
