I offer you this version of Gaudete this afternoon, this will be posted while I am out at an afternoon and then an evening Carol Service; Here in Norfolk tradition is the order of the day. How about you, what have you sung today? Leave a comment and let us know.
Thanks, Sally. I needed this. No church for us today. I called it off because of snow. www.foraseason.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAt 7:30 this morning, I thought for sure services would be canceled but co-pastor and council are a hardier lot than myself.
ReplyDeleteIn retrospect, it was a glorious service, with liturgical dance, solos and my sermon just worked. I'm hoping to post it up at my place shortly.
Thanks be to God.
Glad this was there Multhah+
ReplyDelete:-) sounds wonderful Meg!!!
ReplyDeleteWe did Lessons and Carols this morning, it was wonderful, so many voices, reading and singing. I wish I could hear this song, but my dialup is much too pokey to handle videos or music, sadly.
ReplyDeleteWe sang some of the great ones: The First Nowell, O Little Town of Bethlehem, O Come O Come Emmanuel, Hark the Herald Angels and were treated to a duet from Handel's Messiah.
The last 15 years or so I worshipped at a friary, and Christmas wasn't Christmas until Midnight Mass - I'm still adjusting to the switch to singing carols this early - but hey, it's fun to slip a little rejoicing in early!
