Sunday Prayer

flickrfoto

Here is one of my favorite healing prayers, used with anointing:

In the name of God
our healer
we pray.

Receive Christ’s healing touch
to make you whole
in body,
mind,
and spirit.

May the power of God
strengthen you,
the love of God dwell in you
and give you peace.
Amen.

(From the Ministry for Healing, The New Zealand Prayer Book)

God of life
God of hope
God of all

Lift us
on your love
like eagle's wings

Sustain us
Guide us
Heal us

Then send us
forth into
the world

That we
may love
as you love.
Amen.

  1. Thank you for these wonderful prayers. One of them is likely to find its way into my sermon this morning.

  2. I'm headed out to get my preach on. Thanks for the momentary reminder that God is here for me, not only for my congregants.
