Monday Meet 'n Greet

Today we welcome three new members to the webring, one who has also shared answers to our interview questions.

First, welcome Lara Blackwood Pickrel, a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister who blogs at Serendipity Soiree and who considers the following things crucial to her character:
-A passionate love for black jellybeans
-A desire to help people of all ages to find wholeness through relationship with God, one another, and themselves
-A love for words, books, and eloquent turns of phrase
-Her husband, Chuck Pickrel (who keeps her roots watered whenever she soars)
-Her two cats, Hanna & Shalom, and her dog, Shelby (who remind her that there is always time to snuggle)
-Soulfriends and the accountability upon which they insist

Next, please stop by and visit On Windy Days, Just Hold God's Hand, the blog of Weeping, a female pastor on the East Coast, trying to serve God and the people God brings my way. She has been telling her story of loss and transition but points to scripture, remembering:
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
[Psalm 30:5b]

And finally, let's say hello to Dr. Abby, who has been hoping to join us for a while but needed some technical support! She blogs at Dr. Abby's and Rev. Carol's Place, a blog that she shares with a friend. Of herself she writes:
I hold a Ph.D in Comparative Religion.  I also hold two master’s degrees.  The first is a Master of Divinity and the second is a Master of Arts in Counseling.
As to how I feel about all this perpetual education, an old friend used to say that all those initials behind your name are like the tail on a pig.  It has no value except to tickle the ham that wears it.

Abby also shared an interview with us:
