  1. Just as last year...the dates conflict with our church's Spiritual Renewal Weekend. I'm not chairing it this year, but our speaker will be Bruce Reyes-Chow and I would hate to miss him. :(

  2. well, I'm just dreaming and imagining and having fun looking at flights right now, so....
what time does the boat leave? do you know?

  3. It's a 4 p.m. departure, and that usually means you can start getting on the ship around noon.

  5. OK, so I have a really dumb question...can you get seasick on a cruise ship? I was an oceanography major in college and got so seasick on the 175 foot research vessels that I had to quit. I mean terribly, violently ill 24/7. But I would so love to go!

  6. MumPastor, check out the comments at last week's Monday post. This was discussed. It's such a big ship that, while there is some funny feeling in the legs at first, most folks (incl. me) don't feel as if they are on a boat. YMMV!

    Thanks!

  10. MumPastor, I took Dramamine for the first day of the first cruise and was fine after that. For this year's I was fine without anything.
And I am *famous* for getting horribly sick on a whale watch, so use that as a guide.

  11. Sweet! Just sent in my registration (well, at least gave it and the check request to our secretary). Can't wait for another wonderful conference - and this time I think my mom is going to come. Watch out, Carribean!
