Sunday Afternoon Music Video: Creed
The preacher approached me on the subway platform and asked, "Do you believe in Jesus Christ?"
"I do." In my head I heard the words that I profess week after week, "I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth. "
Hear what the late Rich Mullins believes, and delight in the sparkling notes that fly off his hands.
What did you profess in song today?

I would LOVE to sing that at church. Just once.
ReplyDeleteToday's music for our folk group included:
We Are Called
Glory & Praise to Our God
My Soul Thirsts
and Canticle of the Sun, among others. It was a good day for singing joyfully and the assembly was even extra enthusiastic about singing too. We love when that happens!
Barb, me, too!
ReplyDeleteThe assembly was full of song at my parish, too - must be something in the air. I love it when I can hear the antiphon to the psalm coming back loud and clear!
My Soul Thirsts was new to me...
How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI was raised to be suspicious of creeds, but now I wonder what that is all about. We're not worshiping words, but celebrating faith.
It's gorgeous.
I was with my parents at their Anglican church...where the music is led by guitars and leans toward folk and praise choruses. You never know, do you? We sang "Let our Prayer to you be as Incense" "Coming to the Table Spread," and a few I didn't know.
ReplyDeletegorgeous ! thank you (:
