RevGalPrayerPals: Friday Prayer

I cannot pray like Peter and I don't know that I want to preach like Paul.

Telling the love of Jesus is the desire of my heart, but it is tougher than I expected. 

I long for the balm of Gilead. I ask for a soothed soul. 

I seek the deep scent and softness of that balm and, in that experience, 

I so briefly feel the brush of wings- the Spirit, she hovers. 

On the day, O Lord, grant rest to my soul and respite to all who cry out to You.
