Tell Us About Yourself

Folks, I take my responsibility of rounding up the ring very seriously. However, I am not sure I am going to be able to do it today as my motion to have Christmas Eve and Day moved to July... 2008... was denied.

Please, please tell us in the comments what your blog is up to and what posts we should definitely check out.

Thanks friends and if I do not emerge until afterwards...

Merry Christmas!

  8. Good for you for taking care of yourself Will Smama!

I wrote about having to behave myself because of wearing my reindeer antlers, and my nervousness over adding to my family. Any experts out there in introducing an old dog to a new dog?

  11. First of all...if you're on the East Coast and are reading this right now, you can still catch most of "A St. Olaf Christmas in Norway" -- excellent. It's scheduled for 10 pm EST on many PBS stations, but check your local listings.

Anyhow, today I blogged about the perils of bearing Christ into the world, and about how the Virgin Mary sets and example of fierce, defiant motherhood.

And, "for something completely different" (really), I shared a recipe for spice cookies that have turned out to be a special treat for the four-legged third of my household. (You may be alarmed at the use of, and quantity of, black pepper in this recipe. "Be not afraid" -- it adds a nice zip that melds well with the other spices.)

  12. I've posted a request for prayers for my dad, who had a subarachnoid hemorrhage today and has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. He's being transported to Toronto in the morning for a procedure to correct the aneurysm.

    Prayers would be much appreciated...

  19. I seemed to have channeled a dead gangsta rapper last night in my post entitled, "Maced...with Grace." It's pretty funny if I do say so myself...especially considering I'm a middle-aged white woman. : )
