for Dinner Monday Night for Maggiano's at the Festival of Homies. I think we can leave around 4:45 or so, get to the resturant, eat, etc and then back for worship in plenty of time.
My flight doesn't arrive until 4:45, but I may be able to meet up with you a bit late (assuming I get in on time), if I know where this place is. Otherwise, I'll see you all at the fest.
Methinks those of us who can't get there need an online dinner date on Monday... Wish, wish WISH I could be there too;- and the whole idea of a "FESTIVAL" of homiletics sounds impossibly creative and exciting...I did once do a "preaching weekend",- but that doesn't have the same glamour, does it?! Have a wonderful time, all of you :-)x
Hi Reverend Mommy. Count me and my roomie in for the supper if its okay for her to come. I am not sure what you are talking about in terms of the turn-around thingy at where? the church? the hotel? which one? or to meet you at the resturaunt? Thanks, Abi
Okay, which one of you has an ipod and a microphone? I'm thinking serious podcasting. I want to hear each and every voice say something, and then those of us building our arks (10 days of rain predicted and we all know what that means) can play a guessing game figuring out who's who. Think of it as like bringing home a trinket for the kids who didn't get to go on your business trip.
what state is that in?
ReplyDeleteThat would be Georgia -- in Atlanta -- across from Lenox Mall on Peachtree Street.
ReplyDelete*sniff sniff*
ReplyDeleteI do not know whether to cry or be jealous.
In spirit in spirit. My body will be snuggling my children. (and walking the dog, and preparing worship and...)
ReplyDeleteI'm in. I'm SO in.

ReplyDeleteI'm with Mindy on this one. Sigh
ReplyDeleteI know that jealousy is a SIN. Now is what I'm feeling jealousy? Do I need to confess it and repent of it? Yeah :(
But I do do do bless you all. (I think)
seriously ... have a GREAT time.
i am also jealous...especially since i know EXACTLY where it is! stupid africa and atlantic ocean, getting in my way. grr.

ReplyDeleteThe Expedition will hold 8.
ReplyDeleteHow about meeting in the turn-around thingy?
(You will know what I'm talking about when you get there.)

ReplyDeleteThe round feature just outside the Rollins Center on this map.
ReplyDeleteCan we please please meet at 4:30 instead of 4:45?
ReplyDeleteAnd I can take 2 in addition to the revbaby and me.
Oh, I know exactly where that is! Used to live 8 miles or 40 minutes from there...by Atlanta traffic that is.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy ladies!
Caroline, of course!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure ChicagoRev will be joining us. A RevDude!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, have a wonderful time! I so wish I could be there, partly to have dinner with y'all and partly because the conference sounds so good.
