Well, it's 9:00 p.m. on Thursday night, and I'm posting the Friday Five a little early, then going to bed. Yes, I'm really that tired. Which brings me to this week's Friday Five: sleep!
1. In what kind of environment do you sleep best? (e.g. amount of light and noise, temperature, number of pillows, breathe-right strip, sleeping in the buff, etc.)
2. How much sleep do you need to feel consistently well-rested?
How much can you get by on?
What are the consequences when you don't get enough?
3. Night owl or morning person?
4. Favorite cure for insomnia
5. To snooze or not to snooze? Why or why not?
G'night.
I played--two hours early! So I can go to bed, of course...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE SLEEP!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm holding off on playing the Friday 5 for just a little while (it is still Thurs, after all!) so I can enjoy the fact that my most recent blog post is about the fact that the house is SOLD! (Well, it's actually under contract, but you get the idea!) :-)
i'm a new kid on the block -- how do you play?!
ReplyDeleteI'm playing-
ReplyDeletepilgrimscrybe- just answer the questions and post them to your blog- tell us you've played and we'll come see what you say!-Love the blog by the way!!!
I played! My very first Friday Five!! I am so excited!!
ReplyDeleteOh, the irony!
ReplyDeleteIt's 3am here. No, I do not normally keep such late (or is it early??) hours. I get insomnia in spurts, and I'm certainly in one now. I can't stop thinking over some stressful work-related stuff.
So I'm working. Kind of. In one window. And in the other window I'm reading rev gal blogs. sigh.
Oh, Katherine. No fun. I find the computer wakes me up more (believe me, I've tried it!).
ReplyDeleteI've played!!
I played!
ReplyDeleteHow appropriate that this is the Friday Five during my denominations national gathering. An event in which many, many, many people get very little sleep.
ReplyDeleteI played!!!
I really look forward to this - I played too.

I played too!! Sleep is a great subject for a Friday Five!!
ReplyDelete1. I sleep with my window partially open all year long; fresh air helps me sleep.
ReplyDelete2. At least 7 hours
A. 5 hours
B. nasty headache, tendency to fall over.
3. Both
4. Buttered toast, although my original answer could have been censored!
5. Our bodies need rest to renew and heal. Better to "Why" than "Why not"!
It's been awhile, folks, so count me in, nd I'll give you the details at my blog!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I played. Better late than never.
ReplyDelete1. In what kind of environment do you sleep best? (e.g. amount of light and noise, temperature, number of pillows, breathe-right strip, sleeping in the buff, etc.)
ReplyDeleteI need two pillows, my journal and a pen by the bed, and a glass of water. Though I can sleep on anything. I've slept in recliners, on the ground, in cars.
2. How much sleep do you need to feel consistently well-rested?
How much can you get by on?
What are the consequences when you don't get enough?
I really don't know. Usually I sleep about 7 but on occassion I get by on 3 or 4. If I don't get enough sleep I get either really quiet or very loopy.
3. Night owl or morning person?
Night owl, big time.
4. Favorite cure for insomnia
I read
5. To snooze or not to snooze? Why or why not?
Snooze, I enjoy settling in for a good nights sleep.
I played (first Friday Five for me).
